This class offers a more detailed exploration of common interventions, how and when they are used, and how to navigate those decisions while staying centered in your values.
What You’ll Learn:
Your Rights in Childbirth: Understand your legal and ethical rights during labor and delivery, and how to advocate for respectful, consent-based care.
The Power of Informed Decision-Making: Learn how to use the B.R.A.N.D. framework (Benefits, Risks, Alternatives, doing Nothing, and Discuss/Decide) to evaluate options and make choices that feel right for you.
Custom Learning on Interventions: You’ll choose which interventions to focus on—such as induction methods, epidurals, continuous fetal monitoring, cesarean birth, vacuum/forceps delivery, IV fluids, or membrane sweeping—and together we’ll explore:

"Navigating Your Birth: Postpartum" is a thoughtful and empowering class designed to help expecting families prepare for life after birth—often called the fourth trimester. While birth is a major milestone, the early postpartum weeks are equally important, and this class provides the knowledge and tools you need to navigate those first 12 weeks with greater ease, confidence, and support.What You’ll Learn:
Normal Postpartum Recovery: Understand what physical and emotional healing looks like for the birthing parent in the first 12 weeks, including what’s expected, what’s uncomfortable but normal, and what may need attention.
Newborn Behavior Basics: Learn what’s typical for sleep, crying, frequency of feeding, and bonding in the early weeks—so you’re not caught off guard by what’s truly normal.
Support Person Tools: Gain practical skills and communication strategies for partners or support people to provide meaningful, respectful care during this transition—and stay connected as a team.
